1-Building your Author Platform Through The Art of Social Media and Publicity
One of the most influential ways to make a splash in the literary scene is by word of mouth. But how do you reach some of the most voracious readers and book buyers online when the very task of targeting so many outlets and managing social media is so overwhelming? The trick is to learn how to manage your approach to get the most out of your time and hard work.

Melody Jones (Social Media Management) and Sami Lien (Roger Charlie) will focus on different strategies authors can use themselves to support their release with publicity, as well as the four key ingredients to building your social media platform and how it can support your efforts. You’ll leave with tips and resources you can use right away to up your own promotional and social media game!

No matter the genre, characters often end up in a physical fight. These blatantly conflict-driven scenes deserve the same care and consideration as any scene: they must show the world, reveal character, and further plot. This session will cover everything to consider when writing physical combat, and inform our (mostly) peaceful writers what they need to know to write a realistic fight. created and conducted by Betsy Dornbusch

4-Tossin’ one back with Brian Keene and Mario Acevedo
Hangout with our faculty members as they shares the recipes for some of their favorite beverages, and tell the story of the trouble they caused, Drinks are optional, and the Bar will be expect compensation. This event takes place in the basement of the Lucha Cantina
